Questions, answered

LLC or C-Corp — which one do I need?

Most solo founders and small businesses start with an LLC — simple taxes, light paperwork, solid liability protection. Planning to raise venture capital? Investors usually expect a Delaware C-Corp. Our questionnaire walks you through it. (We're not a law firm, so for edge cases we'll point you to one.)

How long does it take?

We prepare and submit your filing right away, usually the same day. Standard and Premium include expedited handling wherever your state offers it.

What do state fees cost?

Every state sets its own filing fee — typically $50–$500. You'll see your exact state fee before checkout, and we pass it through at cost. No markups, ever.

Do I need a registered agent?

Yes — every state requires one to receive legal mail for your company. You can serve as your own registered agent (your address becomes public record) or hire a third-party registered agent service. Easier Filing doesn't provide registered agent service, so you'll set that up separately.

What if my filing gets rejected?

A specialist reviews every filing before it goes out to catch the small errors that cause most rejections. If a state does bounce a filing, we work with you to correct it and resubmit.
